International Programs

international programsThe Gilman International Conservation commitment to training personnel associated with international species conservation programs has a significant impact.  Creating opportunities for field project personnel to participate in technical training programs is an important investment in the future of species conservation.  GIC provides support to related international projects personnel to receive specialized training such as computer proficiency, wildlife law enforcement, veterinary medicine, and to attend workshops and conferences.

Special internships at White Oak Conservation Center have been developed for international conservation program leaders to participate directly with the WOCC conservation programs.  Conservation program leaders trained by GIC and WOCC have gone on to assume important positions assisting with the management of national parks and natural resources in their respective countries.
