University of Florida Veterinary Resident
Gilman International Conservation supports one year of a four year residency in Wildlife Medicine through the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. This rotational vet residency is shared between the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, White Oak Conservation Center, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The program provides the vet resident with a broad variety of experiences working with a number of veterinarians while practicing medicine and participating with the conservation programs at these three institutions. Vet residents who have completed this program excel in their careers, often going on to fill top zoological veterinarian positions in the zoo community.
